We are looking for a psychologist at PsyQ International in The Hague with specific knowledge about the expat experience and psychological treatment of children/young adults.
We are looking for an enthusiastic psychologist with specific interest in youth psychology. Preferably SKJ registered or willingness to register for SKJ. You will work alongside an expert medical team of doctors and therapists to provide the highest quality of mental healthcare for patients. You provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions as indicated, which may include individual, family, and group therapy and psychoeducation. You apply advanced strategies to a full range of patient problems and have advanced knowledge of (culturally sensitive) psychological therapeutic techniques.

You will have opportunities for further training within the organization and a large network of colleagues and specialists within PsyQ. There is also a possibility for supervision.
You have a broad view that you would like to develop further: we treat all psychological and psychiatric problems, including addiction and you have the necessary documents to be able to work in the Netherlands with adults as well as children and young people. Further:
  • You have an excellent command of both spoken and written Dutch (minimum B2 level ) and English, in addition you preferably speak one or more foreign languages
  • You are flexible and able to work in the evenings
  • You have specific knowledge about the expat population and experience with expats. e.g. you have  an expat background yourself
  • You have experience of providing therapy for adults and young people with a wide range of diagnoses and problems. Your approach is characterised by focused, structured, individually-tailored therapy with clear goals rooted in evidence-based techniques where the therapeutic relationship is central
In addition to the regular duties of a psychologist, we expect that you possess skills that will serve the development of PsyQ International, a self-managing team. You have a clear interest in participating in decision-making and the development of the team. You have experience in the areas of marketing, communications and social media, including managing websites.

To qualify for this position a positive certificate of good conduct (VOG) is required. The reference checks and checking of qualifications is part of the application process.

The contract will be for 24-27 hours a week and for the time of one year. After an evaluation there is a possibility to change the contract to a permanent contract. The salary is minimal € 2407,- and maximum € 3894,-. (FWG54/55) gross per month, based on 36 hours a week.
